Vs Aston Villa (H), April 30

It has been a largely disappointing 2016 for Watford to date, compounded by their FA Cup semi-final exit defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend, but overall it has been a satisfying season for the Hornets.

Quique Sanchez Flores will be keen for his team to finish the campaign on a high now, and they will have no better opportunity to pick up three points than against already-relegated Villa, who have lost their last 10 games.

Shoot Says: 2-0 win

Vs Liverpool (A), May 8

While they will hope that winning the Europa League could see them qualify for next season’s Champions League, Liverpool must keep pushing in the league if they are to secure at least a spot in next season’s Europa League though, and they will fancy their chances when a Watford side with little to play for visit Anfield.

Shoot Says: 3-0 loss

Vs Norwich (A), May 11

With Watford’s final two fixtures of the season coming against two of the three teams embroiled in a relegation battle at the bottom, the Hornets could have a huge say as to who is competing alongside them again in the Premier League next term, and which side will be demoted down to the Championship.

The Hornets first make the trip to Norwich in their penultimate fixture, but we predict that there won’t be much to choose between the two clubs.

Shoot Says: 1-1 draw

Vs Sunderland (H), May 15

The Hornets then welcome Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland side to Vicarage Road on the final day and with the Black Cats appearing to be draw specialists during the season run-in, we are predicting that there will be a another tie here, with Watford securing an impressive 12th-placed finish in their first year back in the top flight.

Shoot Says: 2-2 draw

Overall Points: 46
Final Position: 12th
