Name: Odion Ighalo
Despite back-to-back league defeats, Watford almost look home and dry as they near the 40-point mark in their quest to preserve their Premier League status come May.
All that really needs to be decided now is who is going to finish as the Hornets’ top goalscorer come the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
Besides talisman Troy Deeney; who has eight English top-flight goals this term, it is his strike partner Odion Ighalo who is in pole position to receive this award.
The 26-year-old, who has seven international caps for Nigeria, has scored a remarkable 15 league goals in 29 appearances for Quique Sanchez Flores’ newly-promoted outfit so far.
Despite looking destined to finish top of the goalscoring charts at Watford, Ighalo has only found the back of the net once in the Premier League since the turn of the year – the opening strike against relegation threatened Newcastle United back in January.
