Paredes in action for Watford at Stamford Bridge.

Paredes is yet to make a real impact for Watford in the Premier League this season, but produced two good performances for Ecuador during the international break.

The former Granada player provided the assist for Felipe Caicedo’s opener against Uruguay in Thursday’s 2-1 World Cup qualifying win, and went on to provide another assist five days later as the Amarillos came out 3-1 victors in their second 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Venezuela.

The 28-year-old has only made six substitute appearances this term, but after his performances during the international break, he could be set for more appearances.
