It has been a rather disappointing second half of the season for Watford after a promising first part of the campaign, which culminated in them losing out to Crystal Palace as they bid to reach the FA Cup final last month.

However, things did improve in the league for the Hornets in April, as they picked up seven points from their five Premier League matches during the month.

One of their most impressive performers was midfielder Ben Watson, whose cross was headed in by Jose Holebas, via a deflection off of Seamus Coleman in the 1-1 draw against Everton at Vicarage Road, before he netted the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win against West Brom at The Hawthorns a week later – Quique Sanchez Flores’ side’s first win in the league since mid-February.
