Morocco international Amrabat has made six Premier League appearances for Watford so far this term.

There were plenty of Hornets away on international duty over the Easter period, but there were no other celebratory performers than January addition Nordin Amrabat.

The 28-year-old, who arrived at Vicarage Road from La Liga outfit Malaga during the New Year transfer window for a reported fee of around £6.1m, played a helping hand in his native Morocco qualifying for the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

Amrabat, who was a former Netherlands Under-21 international back in 2008, toasted qualification for next year’s major tournament in Gabon after coming on as a second-half substitute to help his country seal a 2-0 victory over Cape Verde on Tuesday.

The winger also featured for 23 minutes during Morocco’s first of their double headers against Cape Verde just three days earlier, which Amrabat and his teammates also won 1-0.

Back-to-back wins means Morocco have won all four of their Group F fixtures, making them the first nation to book their place at the 2017 African Cup of Nations finals.
