Christmas is always a busy time of year for English clubs, so Wenger will need to use his whole squad to keep his side in contention at the top.

Thus, there may be a chance for Frenchman Olivier Giroud to lead the line for the Gunners.

The forward has yet to start a Premier League this season because of the brilliant form of Alexis Sanchez, but he has still netted three times off the bench in this campaign.

Wenger could move Sanchez back into an advanced midfield role if he wants to start Giroud against a struggling Everton defence on Tuesday, and a starting berth for the French international could be a wise move ahead of a busy few weeks.
