West Brom manager Tony Pulis is plotting a double swoop for Jay Rodriguez and Morgan Schneiderlin in January, according to reports from The Telegraph.

The Baggies boss, who saw his side climb to sixth in the Premier League with a 3-1 win over Watford at the weekend, met with club chiefs last week to outline his plans for the January window.

With around £20m available to him the former Crystal Palace boss is planning to reunite struggling Man United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin with his old Southampton teammate Jay Rodriguez, who is struggling to get back into Claude Puel’s side after a lengthy injury struggle.

The Saints striker, who suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in April 2014, is yet to return to the form he was in before getting injured and still looks far from the striker he was two years ago.

His former teammate, however, made a move to Man United in 2015 after seven years on the south coast and has been cast aside since the arrival of Jose Mourinho in the summer.
