West Brom are reportedly eyeing a January move for Besiktas striker Kerim Frei, if they fail with a bid for Queens Park Rangers forward Matt Phillips.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis is keen to strengthen his attacking options during the transfer window but is unsure whether he will be able to land long-term target Phillips, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink recently taking over at Loftus Road.

If the West Midlands club do fail in their attempts, they could make a loan move for former Fulham man Frei instead.

The 22-year-old has been offered to a number of Premier League clubs after being frozen out of the first team at the Turkish outfit.
