West Brom are reportedly ready to make a summer move for Belgium international Laurent Depoitre, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side; who surprisingly defeated giants Manchester United 1-0 at The Hawthorns on Sunday, have identified the Gent striker as their ideal replacement for Saido Berahino, should the forward leave for English top-flight rivals Tottenham at the end of the current 2015-16 campaign.

The 27-year-old, who scored on his international debut against Andorra back in October 2015, has found the back of the net an impressive 14 times and provided four assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Belgian Jupiler Pro League outfit so far this season.

Depoitre, who will have just one year remaining on his current deal this summer, will be West Brom boss Tony Pulis’ number one transfer target ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.

The report suggests that the Belgian forward will be available for a cut-price £8m, who was watched by Baggies scouts during Gent’s Champions League encounter against Wolfsburg earlier this week.
