West Brom manager, Tony Pulis is considering a loan move for Southampton forward, Jay Rodriguez, to add to his attacking armoury, according to Sky Sports.

It is thought that the Saints are open to the idea of letting the 27-year-old leave on loan in order to gain more first team game time as he steps up his long term recovery.

The former Burnley man was in the form of his life before picking up a long-term knee injury away at Man City, towards the end of the 2o13/14 season.

The forward scored 17 goals in all competitions before his injury, form which earned him an England cap and is yet to be rediscovered.

Rodriguez signed for the South Coast side upon their return to the Premier League in 2012, and signed a new deal in 2015, of which he has three years remaining.

Pulis will want to strengthen his attacking options with Salomon Rondon and Saido Berahino the only two viable options for the first team. The England international’s former teammate, Rickie Lambert, is also on the books at The Hawthorns.
