West Brom are reportedly set to win the race to sign Tottenham midfielder Alex Pritchard on loan, beating Burnley and Middlesbrough to his services, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

The Spurs youngster has struggled with injuries this term and made just one appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, and is looking for a move that will give him some regular first-team football.

Championship sides Burnley and Middlesbrough looked to be the front-runners to secure the 22-year-old on a temporary basis, but the Baggies have jumped in front of the duo with the offer of Premier League football.

Spurs have a long-term interest in unsettled Albion striker Saido Berahino, but it is uncertain whether there is any link between the two deals.
