West Brom are ready to offer Craig Dawson a new long term deal to stay at the Hawthorns.

According to a report in the Express and Star the defender has impressed Tony Pulis into offering a new contract.

Dawson has only missed one Premier League match all season and has impressed at right-back or at centre-half when he has been required to move inside.

The 26-year-old has worked hard to force his way into the team via loan spells at Rochdale and Bolton.

Under Pulis his game has advanced in every area with the Baggies boss ready to hand out a long term deal to put Dawson on wages comparable with the rest of the regular first team players.

With 12 months left on his current deal other clubs have noted his situation but it’s unlikely that there will be any hitches to completing a new contract keeping the defender at West Brom.
