Scouts from West Bromwich Albion have been attending Serie A matches as the club looks to strengthen this summer with players from Italy’s top division, according to the latest reports in The Birmingham Mail.

The Baggies scouts watched the clash between Fiorentina and Torino, which saw the visitors come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2, thanks to a brace from Andrea Belotti.

West Brom could be keen on some of Serie A’s biggest stars after missing out on Manolo Gabbiadini, who has since gone on to start banging in the goals for Southampton, including two in Sunday’s EFL Cup final against Manchester United.

Belotti is one of the shining lights of Serie A and is already attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs after bagging 24 goals this season.

Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have also been reportedly linked with the Azzurri international.

Albion were also believed to have sent scouts to watch Lazio’s 1-0 win over Udinese on Sunday as they cast their scouting net wider over Italian football during the last few months of the season.
