Picking up just two points from a possible 18 available, April wasn’t the greatest of months for West Brom, although they did reach the magic 40-point mark in the opening match of the month away at Sunderland.

That goalless draw ensured that the Baggies were safe for yet another season, and defender Craig Dawson played a role in helping the visitors keep a clean sheet at the Stadium of Light.

The versatile player’s stand out game during the month came at White Hart Lane against Tottenham though, with Spurs expected to beat Tony Pulis’ side as their chase for the Premier League title continued.

It looked to be going to plan when Dawson unluckily put through his own net, but the 25-year-old showed great mental strength to score the equalise at the other end with a brilliant header, helping to move the title closer to Leicester City.
