West Brom are considering making an offer for Jozo Simunovic.

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail the Celtic defender was watched by Albion spies during Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final win over Dundee United.

Simunovic missed the start of the season through injury but became a regular in the Celtic side alongside Erik Sviatchenko and then Dedryck Boyata.

While out injured the young Croatian travelled to Torino on the final day of the 2016 summer transfer window but Celtic were unable to agree a deal with the Italian side.

Celtic signed the 22-year-old from Dinamo Zagreb in a complex deal two years ago which seemed heavily geared towards the player being sold on for a profit.

Albion are keen to bring in central defenders due to the age of Gareth McAuley and the interest being shown in Jonny Evans.

Celtic would be loathe to part with their first choice central defender and won’t entertain any bids of less than £12m.
