West Ham United have agreed a fee in the region of £20 million to sign Swansea City forward Andre Ayew, according to BBC Sport.

The Hammers have been looking to sign an attacker all summer and having been knocked back with offers for the likes of Carlos Bacca and Alexandre Lacazette, they finally look to be closing in on a deal for the Ghana international, who is finalising personal terms with the east London outfit.

The 26-year-old joined the Swans on a free transfer from Marseille last summer, and went on to finish as the club’s top goalscorer with 12 goals.

If the deal is completed, Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin will have lost four forwards over the course of the close season – Ayew, Eder, Bafetimbi Gomis and Alberto Paloschi – but he brought in Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente on a two-year deal on Friday night, while he is also hopeful of signing Atletico Madrid’s Borja Baston.
