West Ham United are reportedly hoping to thrash out a deal with Juventus for striker Simeone Zaza.

The Premier League club are understood to be in talks with the Serie A champions over a loan move for the Italy international, who has scored once for his country in five international caps.

The 24-year-old, who only joined Juve from Italian rivals Sassuolo last month, scored 12 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions last season.

However Zaza failed to feature for his new club in their opening 1-0 defeat to Udinese, so Slaven Bilic’s Hammers are in discussions over a £2.2m season-long lease for the striker.

Zaza would be a welcome addition at the Boleyn Ground following injuries to fellow forwards Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia, meanwhile Modibo Maiga has agreed to join Saudi Arabia outfit Al Nassr FC.
