West Ham remain in talks with Italian giants, Juventus over a deal for striker Simone Zaza, according to Sky Sports and Guardian journalist, Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist tweeted on Wednesday night stating that, although the deal between the clubs is not done, talks are underway to finalise personal terms.

The East London side have been linked with a whole host of strikers this summer, a search which has been intensified recently, with Andy Carroll facing another lengthy stint on the physio table and record signing, Andre Ayew requiring surgery.

Hammers boss, Slaven Bilic has already declared his interest in Man City outcast, Wilfried Bony having stated that he still wants to bring in a number of new additions to the London Stadium.

25-year-old Zaza, who joined The Old Lady last summer, has scored eight goals in 24 appearances for the Italian champions, and has 14 international caps for the Azzurri under his belt.

Bilic’s side host Romanian outfit Astra Giurgiu, who knocked them out of Europe last season, at their new home this evening in the second-leg of their Europa League play-off tie.
