Premier League outfit West Ham have joined Newcastle United and Watford in the race for Hull City midfielder Kamil Grosicki, according to The Sunday Mirror.

The 28-year-old only moved to the KCOM Stadium back in January after three years and 92 appearances at French side Rennes, although he did show signs of quality in the second half of this season’s Premier League, laying on three assists in 15 league appearances for the Tigers.

And although he couldn’t help keep the North East club in the top-flight, Grosicki clearly showed enough to suggest that he can do a job in the top tier, as Slaven Bilic’s West Ham are reportedly willing to rival Newcastle and Watford in pursuit of the Poland international.

The Hammers laboured to an 11th place finish in the Premier League this term, and were a far cry away from the team that brilliantly secured seventh in the top-flight the campaign before.

And one of their biggest issues was their creativity going forward, with there a clear over-reliance on Michail Antonio, Manuel Lanzini, and Andy Carroll to get the goals and assists for the East London outfit – in fact, Dimitri Payet registered double the assists (six) than the next best at the club, and he left back in January.

And signing a player like Grosicki could be exactly what they need to move to the next level, although it won’t be easy as Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle and Marco Silva’s Watford are also interested in the Hull midfielder.

New Hornets boss Silva brought Grosicki to England during his six-month stint at Hull this season, while Benitez will be looking to reinforce his squad ahead of their return to the Premier League in August.

Ultimately though, it remains to be seen where the £5.1 million-rated ace (as per Transfermarkt) ends up this summer, although what does appear evident is that his short time at Hull will come to a conclusion in the near future.
