West Ham recorded a vital 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Tottenham on Friday night to secure their Premier League status.

Manager Slaven Bilic was under pressure to conclude the season in good fashion after an underwhelming campaign, and Manuel Lanzini’s second half strike sealed arguably their best win at the London Stadium.

And with their top-flight status secured, attentions are now turning to the upcoming transfer window, and one man they are looking to bring in is Chelsea outcast Michy Batshuayi, according to The Daily Mirror.

The 23-year-old has endured a very tough time at Stamford Bridge this term following a £33 million move from Marseille last summer, failing to start any of the Blues’ 35 Premier League matches, and netting just once when he has come off the bench on 17 occasions.

And it appears that Antonio Conte is already planning for life without the Belgium international, but The Daily Mirror states that West Ham will have to strike up a permanent deal for Batshuayi as opposed to a loan one.

Bilic’s men were one of those sides battling Chelsea for Batshuayi’s signature last summer only to be outbid by the Premier League leaders, yet with the club having struggled at times in front of goal this term, it looks likely that the Hammers will go in for the 23-year-old again this summer.
