Burak Yilmaz has been a prolific goalscorer for Galatasaray.

West Ham are currently fifth in the Premier League standings, but if they are to continue their push for European football come the end of the campaign, many Hammers’ fans believe they need to bring in a striker this month.

It seems to be something that the club actively recognises too though, as they have been linked with a number of frontmen already this this window.

With Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho continuing to struggle with injury, and with Nikica Jelavic understood to be ready to follow Mauro Zarate out the door before next week, Enner Valencia needs some support up front for the Irons.

He may well get it in the form of Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz, with Slaven Bilic knowing the Turkey international from his days managing Besiktas, and the 30-year-old comes with a good pedigree having scored on average more than one goal every two games for the Turkish giants.
