West Ham United are reportedly weighing up whether to make a January move for Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta.

The Premier League side, who face Wolves in the FA Cup this weekend, are tempted to make a move for the experienced Premier League midfielder following his lack of first-team action during the first-half of the campaign with Arsenal.

The 33-year-old, who is a former Spain Under-21 international, has made ten appearances in all competitions for the Gunners this season.

Arteta; who joined Arsene Wenger’s side from Everton back in August 2011 for a reported fee of £10m, is wanted by Hammers boss Slaven Bilic as an experienced character in the centre of the park as West Ham go in search of European football for the remainder of the campaign.
