West Ham are reportedly set to make a shock move to sign out-of-favour Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher, according to the Telegraph.

The Scotland international is out of contract at the Stadium of Light in the summer, and with no talks over a new contract, the attacker looks to be surplus to requirements under Sam Allardyce.

Meanwhile, the Hammers are hoping to bring in a striker before the transfer window closes on Monday, and have so far been frustrated in their attempts to sign Fenerbahce’s Emmanuel Emenike and Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz.

Irons boss Slaven Bilic could now turn his attentions to Fletcher, who would be available for a small fee.
