West Ham are close to completing the signing of Henry Onyekuru.

According to a report on Sky Sports News the Eupen striker seems certain to be heading to the London Stadium despite recently appearing Arsenal bound.

The young Nigerian has had an impressive first season in the top division of Belgian football with Eupen reaching the Europa League play-offs after winning promotion.

Onyekuru has been attracting more scouts on a weekly basis with at least seven Premier League clubs on his trail after Celtic were linked in January. Since then the strikers scoring rate has taken him out of Brendan Rodgers budget.

Slaven Bilic has highlighted the 20-year-old as the type of pacey striker that he requires to change West Ham’s style to a more expansive game.

A number of strike options are under consideration but with a get out clause of £7.85m and wages of £35,000/week Onyekuru offers good value in the current market.
