Premier League outfit West Ham are keeping tabs on Bayern Munich defender Rafinha’s situation at the Allianz Arena, according to Sport Witness.

The 31-year-old moved to the Bundesliga giants back in 2011 after a short spell in Genoa, and has gone on to play 199 times for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, netting four goals from full-back.

The former Brazil international has won five Bundesliga titles and a Champions League crown during his time in Munich, yet it has been reported that he would consider a move to the Premier League this summer in a bid for more regular first team football.

Rafinha has managed just nine Bundesliga and four Champions League starts for the club this term, and appears to be falling down the pecking order given that he didn’t feature in any of Bayern’s two legs against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite competition.

And this is likely to interest West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, who will be on the lookout for reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window, certainly at the back, after a frustrating campaign at the London Stadium.

The Hammers are 15th in the Premier League table and have no chance of replicating their seventh place finish from last term, and recent reports suggest that Bilic’s job as manager is under threat unless they have a decent end to the season.

Nonetheless, it does appear that he is looking at potential transfer targets ahead of next term, and with Rafinha’s contract up next year and no renewal on the table as of yet, the East London outfit may be able to convince him of a move to England this summer.
