Considering the traumatic season Liverpool experienced last season, they could be the ones to watch this term.

After two years of blowing opponents away with high intensity football never before seen in the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp saw his side’s first ever Premier League title defence derail spectacularly.

When they wrapped up the signing of treble winning Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, it seemed like the Anfield side already had one hand on the title.

Unfortunately, an injury crisis unlike no other Liverpool side has ever experienced blew the Reds of course.

With all things considered, their recovery to creep into third place with nine wins and two draws in their last 11 league matches was nothing short of miraculous.

However, they could be set to lose a cult hero as reports from Football Insider suggest West Ham United could be set to make a surprise move for Divock Origi.

Origi only made nine Premier League appearances last season.

The Belgian striker may not be the most prolific forward, but he has scored some iconic goals for the Reds, including the winning a vital second in the victorious Champions League final against Spurs in 2019.

While it will be hard to find any Liverpool fan who speaks poorly of the Belgian, he did endure a pretty wretched 2020/21 season, where he only scored once in 17 matches.

Now it is reported a bid of around £15 million could be enough to convince the Anfield board to part ways with the forward.
