West Ham United have reportedly won the race to sign Dagenham & Redbridge starlet Jodi Jones.
The 17-year-old has impressed for the Essex side since making his senior debut in February.
His performances since then were said to had alerted a number of clubs including Sheffield Wednesday, Reading and Charlton, who had made an offer for the player.
However, the Hammers have now shown their intent to land the forward and have bid £250,000.
The League Two outfit are expected to accept the money with Jones going into the East London side’s development squad.
