West Ham United chase Italy full-back

West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Italian full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio.

The Premier League outfit, who defeated defending champions Chelsea 2-1 at Upton Park on Saturday, have joined Serie A rivals Fiorentina in the race to sign the Inter Milan defender.

The 27-year-old, who is a former Italy Under-21 international, was a transfer target of new Hammers boss Slaven Bilic during the summer window but he eventually stayed put at the San Siro.

However D’Ambrosio, who only joined Inter from Torino last year, has failed to make a single appearance for the club in all competitions this season.
