West Ham United are reportedly planning to hijack Liverpool’s £15m summer move for France international Yohan Cabaye, according to the Brentwood Gazette.
The Premier League side, who climbed up to fifth in the standings on Saturday after coming from two goals down to defeat Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park, are interested in signing the Crystal Palace midfielder come the close of the 2015-16 campaign.
The 30-year-old, who has 44 international caps for his country and is in contention to represent France at the 2016 UEFA European Championships later this year, has scored five goals and provided two assists in 30 appearances in all competitions for the Eagles so far this season.
Cabaye, who arrived at Selhurst Park from defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain back in July for a club-record deal worth around £12.8m, is also interesting Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp this summer.
The former Newcastle United star is wanted by both clubs as they push for European competition next term.
