West Ham United have completed the signing of Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore on a season-long loan deal, with a view to a permanent move next summer.

The Turkey international is well known to Hammers boss Slaven Bilic after they worked together during the duo’s time at the Turkish giants, and becomes the club’s fifth addition of the summer, following the arrivals of Sofiane Feghouli and Toni Martinez from Valencia, Havard Nordtveit from Borussia Monchengladbach, and Domingos Quina from Chelsea.

The German-born forward says that Bilic was a huge factor in his decision to move to the Olympic Stadium.

The 24-year-old said: “He’s the best manager I have played under. He is like a father to the players. You feel like you are family.”

Tore helped his club beat Fenerbahce to the Super Lig title last term, scoring four goals and providing six assists as Besiktas finished five points above their Istanbul rivals.
