West Ham are monitoring John Ruddy.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the former Norwich keeper is in the thoughts of Slaven Bilic to fill a problem position.

Ruddy was released after seven years at Carrow Road that saw him work his way into the England squad and earn one full cap.

Norwich’s failure to win promotion has resulted in a number of cost cutting measures, with his contract expiring at the end of the season there was never any chance of the 30-year-old being offered a new deal.

Ruddy is keen to play first team football and will only consider moving to a club where he has a realistic chance of top team action.

Bilic has kept his thoughts to himself about his side’s goalkeeping situation but it’s understood that he views Darren Randolph and Adrian as back up keepers.

West Ham have been linked with moves for Joe Hart and Jordan Pickford but if Ruddy measures up the former Norwich man could be offered a deal to move to the London Stadium.
