Two clean sheets may seem like a decent return, but Arsenal still conceded six goals in their group.

The Gunners conceded to every side in the group and, although they only conceded to PSG at home, the two in Ludogorets almost lost them the game in Hungary.

Although Basel’s goal on Tuesday was nothing more than a consolation, there are still a few questions marks against the Arsenal backline, who have looked a lot better in the Premier League this season.

They didn’t defend brilliantly against PSG a few weeks ago, and were slightly fortunate that Edinson Cavani missed a few good chances otherwise it could have been a heavy defeat.

Arsenal will have to improve against the better oppositions, and the clearest marker we’ve got, at home to PSG, indicates that they still have work to do to shore up that back four.
