What’s Hot and What’s Not from Chelsea’s season so far

NOT – Arsenal 3-0 Chelsea

There really aren’t many negatives of the Chelsea season so far, with their spell of just one point from a possible nine back in September about as bad as it has got, most notably the defeat at Arsenal.

Conte’s men could only muster a 2-2 draw away at Swansea on September 11, with a few defensive errors costing them that day, before they went down 2-1 at home to Liverpool five days later.

However, it was their display at Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal which concerned many Blues fans at the time, as they were comprehensively outplayed by the Gunners, conceding all three goals before the half time whistle.

Chelsea looked disorganised at the back and didn’t post a genuine attacking threat for much of the game, there were even rumours that Conte was going to get the sack in the week after that loss.

We are clearly knit-picking, as the Blues are well clear at the top and have lost just once since then, but their defeat at the Emirates back in September was certainly a low point, but one that has arguably made their season what it is, as Conte changed things completely after that game, and they’ve been sensational ever since.
