What’s Hot and What’s Not from the Premier League weekend

HOT – Everton’s European goal

Goals from Idrissa Gueye and Romelu Lukaku sealed a 2-0 win for The Toffees at home to Sunderland, extending the club’s unbeaten run in the Premier League to nine games.

Everton are now just four points adrift of sixth-placed Manchester United, plus six points shy of the top four [Arsenal], if boss Ronald Koeman is ambitious enough to eye a spot in the UEFA Champions League.

The Merseyside outfit play Tottenham, West Brom, Liverpool and Manchester United within their next five Premier League fixtures.

Remain unbeaten through this tough period, and Everton will be on course for European football next season.
