Centre-back: Ricardo Carvalho

The other half of the centre back partnership, Portugal international Ricardo Carvalho was one of Jose Mourinho’s most trusted servants, having played under him at Porto.

Carvalho moved on from Chelsea after six seasons, joining Real Madrid in 2010 before seeing out his playing days at Monaco and a very brief stint at Chinese outfit Shanghai SIPG.
