Ray Parlour’s one and only appearance in the 2001/02 League Cup was the 4-0 win over United, as he was an important feature of Wenger’s Premier League team.

The midfielder, nicknamed ‘The Romford Pele’, spent 12 years at Highbury from 1992 to 2004, and was three times a league winner and four times an FA Cup winner.

Parlour, who made ten appearances for England throughout his career, moved to Middlesbrough in 2004, before retiring from playing in 2007 while at Hull City.

The 43-year-old is now regularly seen on TV as a pundit, and is also heard on the radio during talkSPORT and BBC Radio 5Live commentaries.
