Ricardo Carvalho was in the middle of his six-year stint at Chelsea when he helped keep a clean sheet against Man City.

The Portuguese defender was an outstanding centre-back who, although took a while to adapt to English football, was one of the best in the Premier League.

His excellent displays at the back for Blues secured him a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, where he spent three years and won the La Liga title before moving to Monaco in 2013.

Carvalho was a regular for the French side in the last three years, but is currently a free agent having not had his contract renewed by the Ligue 1 side in the summer.
