The turn of the new calendar year has not been too kind for Roberto Martinez, with Everton fans becoming increasingly disgruntled with the manager following their team’s dire form throughout 2016, so far.

The Toffees, who currently sit 12th in the overall Premier League standings, would in fact hover down in 15th spot based on this year’s performances alone, with Martinez’s men picking up 14 points from a possible 39 on offer in their last 13 league outings.

In fact; Everton haven’t tasted victory in the English top-flight since March 1 following their 3-1 win at rock-bottom and Championship bound Aston Villa, and have since lost to the likes of West Ham United, Arsenal and Manchester United respectively in a three-game losing streak.

Back-to-back draws against Watford and Crystal Palace has halted that dire run, but the Goodison Park faithful are beginning to run out of patience with boss Martinez, who only guided the Toffees to 11th place last season.

This campaign’s finishing position could be even further down the standings should Everton fail to rediscover their form during their final six league encounters.
