Sitting just four points above the bottom three with only five fixtures remaining of the 2015-16 season, newly promoted Norwich City face a nail biting end to the campaign in a bid to preserve their Premier League status for a successive year.

The Canaries have collected 11 points from a possible 42 on offer since the turn of the new calendar year, losing nine of those encounters – although two precious victories over West Brom (0-1) and Newcastle United (3-2) in their last three outings has significantly boosted Norwich’s survival hopes come next month.

Alex Neil’s side; who defeated Middlesbrough 2-0 in last year’s Championship play-off final inside Wembley Stadium, will be praying they can fend off an instant return to the second-tier of English football in their final five league games, starting with Saturday afternoon’s crucial visit of third from bottom Sunderland, who directly lie four points adrift of Norwich in the table.

Both the Canaries’ and the Black Cats’ end of season fate could all come down to this highly anticipated 90 minutes at Carrow Road – may the best team win!
