Adebayor scored his first Palace goal in the defeat to Watford last weekend.

After such a promising start to the campaign, Crystal Palace’s season has tailed off following five defeats in the last six matches.

Alan Pardew’s side are now eight points above the relegation zone and nine points behind fifth-placed Manchester United, and need a strong run in their final dozen matches if they are to have a chance of securing European football.

The Eagles have spent the majority of the campaign playing without a recognised or prolific striker, but that could change now they have a proven goalscorer in former Tottenham and Arsenal star, Adebayor.

The Togolese attacker netted his first goal for the club against Watford last weekend, and if he can continue to hit a rich vein of form in the upcoming fixtures, then Palace can look up, rather than over their shoulders.
