Leicester City could be just weeks away from winning an astonishing Premier League title, and no Foxes player will be more delighted than their current longest-serving star, Andy King.

After being released by Chelsea when he was 15, the Wales international joined the east Midlands’ club’s academy, and was offered his first professional contract in May 2007, when he was 18.

The first season at the King Power Stadium certainly didn’t go to plan, as the club were relegated to the third tier of English football, although the midfielder made 45 appearances, scoring nine goals, as Leicester made an immediate return to the Championship.

Promotion to the top flight followed in 2014, and who would have believed that just two seasons later, that they would be on the verge of winning the Premier League title?
