United will be relying on Martial for goals over the course of the next two months.

After conceding just 24 goals in 26 Premier League matches this season, Manchester United have certainly shown that their main problem isn’t at the back.

Of course, it is attacking wise where they have struggled, with Manchester City and Leicester City each netting 15 more times than the Red Devils this term.

It is still unclear whether United boss Louis van Gaal has a long-term, or even short-future at Old Trafford, but he will need his star players, such as Anthony Martial, to step up to the plate in the coming weeks if the club are to have a chance of securing a top four or five finish.

With the news that Wayne Rooney has been ruled out for around two months with a knee ligament injury, the pressure will once against fall onto the shoulders of the young Frenchman to score the goals that could be key his team securing a potential Champions League spot come what May.
