Having starred in the Welsh outfit’s League One antics almost nine years ago, all the way through to Swansea City’s sparkling Premier League era, Angel Rangel is the club’s current longest-serving player.

The 33-year-old, who has made over 330 first-team appearances for the Swans, first arrived at the Liberty Stadium back in the summer of 2017 after signing a one-year performance-related deal for former boss Roberto Martinez in an undisclosed deal after signing him from Spanish side Terrassa.

Rangel, who was ruled ineligible to represent Wales at international level back in 2012, has been restricted to 21 appearances in all competitions for Swansea so far this season following fellow defender Kyle Naughton’s presence under ex-manager Garry Monk earlier on in the 2015/16 campaign.

However the Spaniard has snatched the regular right-back position back under Francesco Guidolin following his appointment back in January, playing the full 90 minutes in Swansea’s last six Premier League outings.
