Who should Claude Puel sell this month?

Southampton are enduring a run of very poor form, having lost three on the bounce in the Premier League before being taken to an FA Cup replay by Norwich courtesy of a 92nd minute equaliser from the Championship side.

With a packed schedule still to come, the Saints will have had 16 games across December and January if they win their FA Cup replay, there is still time for a quick turn around in form starting with the EFL Cup semi-final against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

However, with the January window now open, Claude Puel still has the option to dip into the market in order to change his fortunes.

Although, in order to effectively mould his side come the close of the window then he may have to consider clearing out certain players over the next couple of weeks as well.

With club captain Jose Fonte having handed in a transfer request, he will be high on the list of players likely to leave.
