Morgan Schneiderlin could find himself in the middle of a transfer tug-of-war this January as a host of Premier League clubs are rumoured to have taken an interest in the Frenchman.

Schneiderlin has only made two appearances in the league so far this season and didn’t even manage to make it off the bench during last week’s EFL cup victory over West Ham.

It’s clear that Jose Mourinho doesn’t rate the 27-year-old, meaning he’ll likely be made available this coming January. Should Schneiderlin rediscover the form that got him his big money move to United in the first place, he’ll be a major asset for any Premier League club that signs him.

Liverpool will be on the hunt for reinforcements as they look to claim their first league title of the century.

The Reds have been in fine form so far this season, with the only question mark coming over the defensive side of their game. If the Frenchman settles quickly, there will not be many players better suited to protecting Liverpool’s backline than him in the league.

With that said here are TWO reasons why Liverpool should move for Schneiderlin this January.
