According to Calcio Mercato Jack Wilshere remains high on AC Milan’s transfer list.
The career of the Arsenal star currently on loan at Bournemouth continues to be uncertain, though Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger has expressed his desire to keep the midfielder.
It was Wenger who blocked the deal when Milan attempted to secure Wilshere last summer. Calcio Mercato believe Wilshere’s future (whose deal expires in 2018) has taken a backseat to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’s current contract concerns.
This season the England international has managed to shake off his terrible injury record that has blighted his Arsenal career. It’s allowed the playmaker to enjoy regularly game time during his temporary spell on the south coast.
Cherries’ boss Eddie Howe had praised Wilshere for transforming his side who lie comfortably mid-table in the Premier League.
The midfielder who joined Arsenal at 11 years-old previously expressed his intentions to stick with the Gunners, but it’s possible a lucrative offer from Milan may change his mind.
