Wolverhampton Wanderers close to securing the services of Olympiacos winger Daniel Podence in a £21million deal, according to the Telepgraph

The deal for Podence is expected to be confirmed in the next 48 hours, and will be the first major signing for Wolves this transfer window.

Having already played 42 games this season, starting their season with Europa League qualifying back in July, Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo will be keen to add depth and quality to his squad.

Nuno guided Wolves to a seventh placed finish and Europa League football last term.

Despite their huge amount of game time, Wolves are again having a successful season, reaching the knockout stages of the Euroa League and sitting 7th in the Premier League table.

Olympiacos winger will certainly look to improve Wolves, having enjoyed a stellar season for the Greek side, so far this campaign.

The famous club sit top of the Greek SuperLeague and Portugal U21 international Podence has five goals and five assists to his name.
