Wolverhampton Wanderers of hopeful of sealing a loan deal for Belgium Under-21 international forward Obbi Oulare, according to Het Laaste Nieuws.

The Championship side, who suffered a 3-1 defeat against Cardiff City at the weekend, have identified the Watford striker as a short-term replacement for Benik Afobe following his January move to Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth earlier in the transfer window.

The 20-year-old, who arrived at Vicarage Road from Club Brugge for a reported fee of £6m back in September, has made just one FA Cup appearance for the Hornets so far this season.

Oulare; who stands tall at 6ft 4in, has failed to feature in the Premier League under Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores so far this term, so a temporarily loan move to Molineux may aid his player development.
