Gareth Southgate will take charge of his third England game when Scotland visit Wembley for a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Interim boss Southgate has thus far overseen a win and a draw since temporarily taking over from Sam Allardyce in September – results which means England top Group F, two points clear of Lithuania and Slovenia.

However, the performance in their last game against Slovenia was disappointing, and Southgate had goalkeeper Joe Hart to thank for preserving a point. The former Middlesbrough boss will be hoping that Hart can recreate that excellent form between the sticks on Friday if called upon.

The Three Lions take on a Scotland side that have struggled in the qualifying campaign so far, picking up just four points from their three games.

Gordon Strachan’s side were beaten 3-0 by Slovakia last time out, and he’ll be hoping that his defence and goalkeeper David Marshall are much improved at Wembley on Friday night.

So, with these two goalkeepers set to go head-to-head on Friday, here is how Hart and Marshall match up in the league this season…
