Euro 2016 semi-finalists Wales return to international action at home to Serbia on Saturday, and Chris Coleman’s side could really do with a win after a sluggish start to their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Welsh have won one and the drawn two of their first three games, the latest of which was a frustrating 1-1 draw at home to Georgia in October.

That result leaves them third in Group D ahead of Saturday’s game against the group leaders Serbia, but Coleman will be hoping that the in-form Sam Vokes can help fire his side to three points.

However, the Serbians have made a fine start to qualifying, having picked up seven points from three games, and will have fond memories of playing Wales, having beaten them 6-1 just four years ago.

The group leaders themselves possess a striker in decent form, as Newcastle United’s Aleksandar Mitrovic looks set to lead the line in Cardiff on Saturday.

So, with these two forwards set to go head-to-head at the weekend, here is how Vokes and Mitrovic match up in the league this season…
